“It's a very smooth ride, so to speak. This little thing keeps one's legs engaged without much effort. It's very smooth, extremely quiet, and I found it relaxing. I got one for a family member who is coming back from an injury. It's really nice that you can avoid any concerns about balance, or a leg giving way under stress that the leg isn't ready for, and still get some exercise! I used it while watching a movie with family, and think it helped me to get out some nervous energy and concentrate on the show.”
“I'm in love!! I previously ordered a similar item (FitDesk Under Desk Elliptical Trainer) and that did NOT work out. The pedals didn't move in a circle like a regular elliptical, and I couldn't sit comfortably with it under my desk. I was really disappointed I had to return it. (I'm not sure if it's a general problem with that one, or if the one I had was just a defective one). This one, however, is great! You do need a pretty tall desk to be able to fit it and pedal, but luckily I have one (and am only 5 feet tall). It pedals easily, and it's pretty quiet- I wouldn't say silent, but I don't feel self conscious pedaling on it during the work day, and would definitely do it while I'm on the phone. And since I'm only five feet tall, even when I'm not pedaling it's comfortable to rest my feet or legs on while I work. It was a gift and Santa assembled it for me, but it seemed pretty simple. The only negatives are 1) I don't know if I have it backwards, or if Santa somehow messed up the assembly (I don't think so), but the way it's most comfortable for me to pedal, the reader with the distance/calorie/rotation count reads upside down lol, and there's not one that goes on the desk like the one I had to return. I don't really care, because I'm not overly concerned with the numbers, and I just look under the desk once or twice a day (and read it upside down lol). And 2) of course you do have to sit a certain way to use it, but that's obviously unavoidable.I've just been using it a little bit in between assignments, while I'm talking to someone in my office, while I'm working on something and can multi task, etc., so not a whole lot, and it says I used it for about 15 minutes and burned a little over 100 calories each day. I'm sure some days it will be more, but I'm happy with that for sitting at my desk and just working it a bit when I can! Obviously not a replacement for the gym, but something great to add in during the work day without any hassle, especially when it's cold out.I've only been using it for going on 3 days, but so far I feel like it was a great investment! If I'm still loving it by March will probably get one for my sister for her birthday-- I think she'd love it, too.”
“I wanted to love this little machine, but I'm afraid it's going to have to go back. Arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. Although the range of motion is quite limited, it worked well enough for several days. On the 4th day it started to make an internal clicking noise every few revolutions and on day 5 it's more consistent and seems to be getting louder.Really bummed out about the lack of quality. Have tried to adjust the resistance setting and the noise continues. Don't say you weren't warned.”
“For the price, this strider is the best deal going. The 4.5 - 5 star models are $250 and up. If your desk is high enough, you should be able to use it while sitting at a computer. You can also use it while standing, but you have to train yourself first - preferably against a wall until you get your balance. The action is short, and you have to learn how to control your strokes so the strider doesn't get jerky on you. How I use it: slow and steady, while watching a movie. What this model wouldn't be good for: HIIT or sprint training.”
“This unit is great. I can spend an hour exercising my legs and hips while sitting. It stays in place on the carpet with no traveling. I checked it out before purchasing. A Physical Therapist uses it on his patients and he recommends it to them when they are wanting to get something like this. I think I watched his video on it. I can't use it standing up as my balance isn't good that's why I sit. It's not light weight either, that's what makes it so good. I put it together myself with the tools they include. It was easy. There is no handle on it for moving so I keep it and a chair next to my treadmill so no one can trip over it. If I do need to move it, you have to lift it by the front stabilizer and a 'foot' never by the pedals. You are to clean it after every use. Dust on the area where the wheels are will make it have sound issues. I do need to see about my unit though as the pedal for my left foot is just a tiny off so it is wearing the wheel down and makes noise. The right side looks brand new. Right now, I just pedal backwards so I don't have the swooshing noise. All in all, it's a great unit. My husband who has 4 herniated disks and 1 that exploded, in his back can't use it except to stand and put his canes on the pedals and push, exercising his arms.”
“I had decent hopes for this product being as it had some good reviews bearing you used it while sitting and not standing. It was easy to put together and I installed the In Motion E1000 under my desk. I used it only while sitting and the foam pads were worn out in the first 10 minutes of operation. The In Motion now makes load squeaking noises where the foam rubber is worn out. I am pretty sure the more I use the product the noises will get worse making it unusable in the office. This product is not recommended due to its poor quality as stated before this only worked for 10 minutes. I would save your money and buy something different see photos attached.”
“When you first open it, your not happy you have to assemble some parts. DON'T WORRY. Its easy, and quick and well worth it. Just follow instructions and its all down in fifteen minutes. You will save ten minutes not bitching you have to assemble it. It comes with the wrench. Easy. It's heavy duty, sturdy and gives the feel it will last awhile. I have it under my desk and it doesn't move. You might need your chair up against a wall to stay sturdy, but its worth it. Standing and using it is a little harder to master, where I might give this 3 stars for the extra trouble standing. But the unit overall is well made and worth the five star review.Try to lift the unit by the metal bar in the back. It will be a mess lifting by the peddles, as you will see. In fact I use it under my desk reversed with the bar in front. Just easy to pedal, and works just as good.”
“Bought this after seeing a co-worker's who brought hers to the office. The only complaint she had was that everyone in the office wanted to use it. I gave in and bought my own. I keep it under my desk and find that I'm drawn to it frequently throughout the day. I don't even realize that I'm using it. I rest my feet on it (like a foot rest) just to get comfortable in my chair. Then before I realize it, I'm cycling away. I don't even have to think about it or push myself to use it. The elliptical is very stable and solidly built. It has a surprisingly smooth cycle and it is so easy to adjust resistance. So much more affordable and effective than others out there. I was shopping for a long time before I was introduced to the Stamina InMotion. This is the best. I was not given any discounts or money for this review. I purchased it at full price; and I could not be happier. (well honestly...would have been great if it were free. but really...worth the money)”
