TRAKK Massaging Heating Wrap Reviews

3.5 Rating 35 Reviews
I miss the day when I could get a nice warming blanket that would keep my whole body warm. While this one did an okay job on my feet (on high setting since I couldn't feel any warmth on the medium or low setting) it didn't warm up my legs. I do love the softness of the wrap though. The feet massager is a total miss too. I did not like the low setting. It just felt like I was standing on a vibrator. I could feel the tingling all the way up my legs. The medium setting was decent. I felt more movement and more of a lite massage however it still didn't do it for me. High was just to much vibration for me. When I think foot massage I think deep rub, make my feet stop hurting. This did nothing of the sort. I'm actually sadly disappointed.

Granted, At the time of this review posting, this isn't the time to review products intended to be used during summer. I ventured into reviewing this product in the name of science. This Sharper Image Personal Electric Sherpa Heating Wrap with massaging "Calming Cozy" is a decent product when it comes to keeping your legs and lower body warm especially during winter days. But I must let you know while the heating is okay, (It heats only at the foot) and the massaging is very weak to almost like vibrating tickles.Upon closer inspection, It seems merely a vibrating type motor mechanism inside. Rather than using conventional massaging shiatsu balls or bigger mass of vibrators, this unit uses an eccentric rotating mass vibration motor (ERM) wherein it uses a small unbalanced mass on a motor when it rotates it creates a force that translates to vibrations. The control panel merely increases or decreases the speed of the motor that's about it. So, while the heat will come handy, the massage option will only create vibrations (or at least that's what I felt)The good news is that the Sherpa Heating Wrap can be washed independently of the heater/massaging unit so that if the cloth does gets dirty it can washed in the laundry machine safely. In the end, it is usable as "leg warmer" during winter and while it takes a considerable amount of time for the heat to buildup inside your lower end of your body, the leg mermaid sort of cocoon wrap it does feel nice and cozy to have your leg wrapped up like that.I must admit, not worthy of the asking price. Three stars! generously.

I was very excited to order the Sharper Image Calming Cozy because it seems ideal for someone who is always cold and always stressed. I want to love it, but it's just okay. Honestly, my favorite part of it is the softness of the blanket and the ability to zip myself up in it. The heat is a nice feature, but the vibrating feet are awkward. It vibrates and shuts off after only a few minutes, so you have to keep turning the vibration back on. Plus, because the feet are sewn in flat, you have to keep your feet in that same position while using the blanket. It's a fun gimmick, something I could live without at the end of the day.

Very gentle and soft but wish there was more massage than vibration in the square foot pad at the cocoon bottom of the blanket. It is shaped like a sleeping bag or mermaid blanket. Nice side zipper. Also wish the heat was all throughout the blanket instead of just the foot pad.

I'm 6' tall, 250lb and this isn't really made for me. In the listing photo, it goes to the lady's chest, she has it folded down over her arm. In real life, it goes just shy of my hip. I wear a size 22W pant and I don't think it would comfortably fit someone much bigger than me. Although, you can always unzip the side. It's also awkward to get into because you have to stand on the massaging base to pull the blanket up and then sit on it while you're in the cocoon. I fell in love with the listing photo, couldn't wait to try this, but it's been a real disappointment. I'd rather have a blanket that is open on the bottom so you don't have to stand to re-adjust.Also the "massaging" foot is just vibration. The listing does say vibration, but I assumed it would massage too. I'm not a big fan of just vibration. The blanket is super soft. It just falls short of expectations and doesn't fit taller or bigger people.
