“I understand the idea behind the device but the design is just not very good. The fabric used is very nice and soft, it feels very warm just by itself. The fabric is pretty much my favorite thing about the device but realistically you can just buy a similar blanket at a fraction of the price. The main function of this device is the massaging and heating feature. The bottom pad will eventually heat up, it takes about 10 minutes to reach full temperature but the massage function doesent feel that good. The reason it doesent feel good is because the vibration is set too fast, slow vibrations are more relaxing than fast ones because fast vibrations make your body itch. The speed levels on the remote only change the intensity of the vibration but not the speed.The other issue the device has and the most annoying is getting in it. You are not supposed to stand on the bottom pad which would be the easiest way to get in it. Instead, you have to come up with your own method of getting in. The way i use it is by standing on the fabric right bellow the pad then move my feet on top of the pad after i sit. There is a side zipper which would also help you get in but for some reason it was made somewhat short.Overall the device does have a nice fabric and both heats and vibrates well enough, i rated it three stars because of how annoying it is to get in. I'm also not a huge fan of the vibration style but that would be more of a personal preference. The device is made by sharper image so its also made by a well known brand.”
“I feel like a mermaid when using this heating wrap. It is so soothing to sit there, wrapped in this cozy blanket, while with feet being massaged from the bottom.It is an interesting design, which has a footrest connected with the top blanket. The only heating and massage unit is the footrest, which is powered through the powder cord. The material of the blanket is soft. The blanket doesn't have heating function, but it is thick, and good enough to keep my legs warm. It is very comfortable to use this heating wrap, so relaxing.”
“This appliance is just plain awkward. Strangely shaped & really kind of unsafe, as using it is a fall risk.I can't recommend this appliance for those reasons.Electric heating and vibrating sounds great, but make it a regular sized throw.”
“A few important details about the Calming Cozy by Sharper Image:âœâ€Ã¯Â¸Â Only the foot portion is heated.âœâ€Ã¯Â¸Â Even on the highest setting, the heat isn't very hot.âœâ€Ã¯Â¸Â The massager is a vibrating massager, very basic.I expected the whole wrap to be heated, but as I noted, only the foot portion is heated. The blanket part is a normal sherpa blanket. The sherpa is warm and cozy, but I feel like calling it a “heating wrap' is a bit misleading when only the foot area heats up.The first question in the FAQ is actually “Why doesn't my Calming Cozy feel hot enough?' So that tells me right there that Sharper Image knows this doesn't get too warm. The answer in the FAQ is to give the Calming Cozy to heat up -- put it on high and wait 10 minutes. I waited 15 minutes, on high temperature, and still didn't find it too warm. I tested this out on a 70℉ day and I wasn't too hot.I did notice the foot portion holds the heat for a while even after it's turned off.The foot massager is vibration only. The light setting is so light as to be ticklish. For the medium and high speeds, my mom heard the vibrations and asked what I was doing. So if you wanted to use this in an office, the massager is not super quiet.The Calming Cozy has a few nice quality-of-life features. There are two velcro cable ties at the top, to hold the remote so you can easily access it. There is a built-in elastic strap to hold the blanket rolled up when you aren't using it, for easier, compact storage. There is a zipper on the side, to make it easier to get into and out of the wrap.The heating element can be removed, so that you can wash the sherpa blanket.I can see myself using the Calming Cozy at my desk in the winter -- but as a foot and leg blanket only. The heat and vibration just aren't worth it.”
