“Wow! Great way to do ice massage without the drippy mess. Highly recommend! Only downside is for non-healthcare professionals, there are absolutely ZERO instructions for safe use. If you purchase this, please look up information on ice massage so that you don't end up with frostbite! Otherwise-fantastic product!”
“I love this metal roller ball. It stays really cold for a very long time. I also like the holder it comes with, very easy to hold and great for relieving my pain.”
“This massage roller works better than I expected!!! Not messy and easy to use. My favorite thing is that it rolls smoothly and you can also really apply pressure in those much needed spots. A must have for your recovery arsenal.”
“Great product! I'm a sports massage therapist and I plan on using it on all of my clients. I also plan on having them buy one themselves. It's easy to use and provides an extreme amount of pain relief!”
“I purchased this roller ball as a way to incorporate cold treatment and stretching to my plantar fascia, since my tennis ball isn't great at being frozen or transferring coldness to my inflamed foot. Unfortunately, this product falls well short of doing what it claims.First, it's surprisingly small. I'm not sure how they did it, but the product pictures do not accurately show how small this thing is. I was hoping for a wider contact area than I could get with a tennis ball, but it is actually significantly smaller when you factor in the inflexibility of the steel ball.Second, the ball doesn't easily spin in the base. When I put the base on the ground and my foot on top, any amount of pressure in any horizontal direction just caused the whole thing to tip over. I ended up putting socks on and just rubbing my foot around on top of the ball, which intermittently would roll or not roll depending on which way the wind was blowing, making the entire massage experience an unpredictable, jerky exercise in balance. Eventually I found it was easier to just hold the base in my hand and push it into my foot to massage it manually, but this defeats the point of having something I can put on the floor and use my body-weight for.It is good at holding temperature though. I put it in the freezer for half an hour and it came out nice and frosty and cold, and stayed cold for a while. Unfortunately, while frosty it rolled in the base even less freely than when room-temp. Also the small size of the ball means very little contact surface with my foot, so there was effectively no cold therapy.I'll be going back to using a tennis ball and an ice-pack to help with my plantar fasciitis.I plan on tossing this thing in the recycling bin, but because of the sand in the ball, I'm not even sure if it's recyclable.”
“So easy to use. Take the ball out of the plastic holder and place in the freezer. Take it out and place back in the holder and it rolls around as the area is massaged. I wish I came across this earlier!”
