“I'm a teacher who took a fall at work and really hurt my back. I was in so much pain that I missed a day at work, and toughed it out for a few weeks. This cushion really helped my lower back pain. If i don't have it, my lower back gets sore again. This is worth the buy as it will really help your back pain, and it feels nice on your bottom.I also use one in my car for my long commute and it has alleviated the shooting pain that I would get down my left leg. Just got one for my dad as he sat on mine and loved it. Really, if you need a cushion, this one is great!”
“This is worlds better than my old u-shaped cushion made of memory foam. It smushed down to almost nothing. This one is much firmer, but it still adjusts to my shape for the top inch or so. I find that it's most comfortable when I sit near the front so that my coccyx is right over the front of the "U", not at the back. I'm not sure what the ideal comfort factor is for a male body, though. I can sit on it for 3-4 hours with minimal breaks, but after that I need to stand/walk for a bit or pick a comfy chair that is not shaped. YMMV.”
“I don't recommend this one... it's very, very firm to sit on -- not at all cushy, the way it looks to be in the picture! After sitting on it and finding it to be so firm, I stood back up and pressed my hand (palm down) on it to see if it actually left a handprint like it shows in the picture and it did a little, though not nearly as much as in the picture. Still, it was rather hard for me to sit on and after trying it out for a few hours, I gave up on it. I need something much softer than that to cushion my tailbone, so am returning it and sadly continuing my search. : (”
“So a few weeks back I fell and landed perfectly on my coccyx with a tremendous amount of force. I immediately experienced a severe amount of pain if i tried to squat or sit at all. I purchased the Comfilife cushion in an attempt to reduce the pain when I am driving in my car, which I do alot for work. It did reduce the pressure SOME what, but I still feel the weight from my body pressing down pretty hard on my coccyx. I feel as though maybe the cushion isnt thick enough to absorb most of my weight to keep the pressure off my coccyx. Im not a heavy guy either. I weigh roughly 150 pounds and I still feel like I go right through the cushion. But even so, it does feel a BIT better than sitting directly on a seat.”
“This works well enough to relieve back pain, and it is offered at a fair price. However, it does have a few small problems.. mainly that it slides around on a fabric office chair, and there are no lops to secure it. Also, it could be a bit wider to accommodate typical heavy duty office chairs. There is a carrying handle on one side, but I don't find this useful in any way.I was able to secure to the back post of the chair by using an old standard sized pillow case. Just inserted the cushion into the pillow case, cut ~ 6 inches down the middle of the case, and tied it to the back of the chair. This stops the cushion from sliding around, and keeps it clean as well.”
“I bought this cushion specifically for a 16 hour road trip in my old pickup truck. I was helping a friend move some stuff from his mothers house in Nebraska, (from Colorado). The trip was 8 hours each way, and there was no way I was going to be comfortable in my seat for that long. I usually get uncomfortable after 1 hour in that old truck, but this cushion worked as promised. No pain or discomfort whatsoever!!! When I first sat on it I was a bit apprehensive because it wasn't as soft as I was expecting. However, soft does not translate into comfort because this was definitely VERY comfortable! I couldn't believe it, but now I highly recommend this cushion! NOTE: I did have to adjust my mirrors and steering wheel to accommodate the additional height that this cushion added, but that was not a big deal. After a minute or so the new position felt natural. BUY THIS CUSHION if you're looking to add comfort to an otherwise terrible seat.”
“I have an office job that requires me to sit all day with a computer. My lower back started to hurt badly. After I started using this cushion, I could tell my lowerback pain has been reduced a little bit (no kidding). Of course a cushion cannot fix everything. It's not soft if you press it by hand but it's very comfortable to sit in. I wouldn't want it to be softer. Its designed to fit with your body line after awhile, and it actually did feel better after I was sitting on for a couple of days. The back side has tiny plastic dots so the cushion doesn't slide off the chair. There is a zipper in the back edge so you can take off the cover for washing if you need.Overall, verry happy with my purchase.”
