“This cushion is on the firm and bulky side, but it did make a difference when working sit for extended periods of time. it helped my with my piriformis syndrome. It requires a "break-in" period to adjust to your shape.”
“Sure it's not chair, but it's not 'just' a cushion--which was my worry, that I would be purchasing and expensive butt pillow. I love this thing! It makes it really easy to not tuck one's tailbone in; it doesn't feel like you're forced to roll back on your sacrum spine. “I've been using this cushion for a couple months to give it a fair chance, but unfortunately even after breaking it in it just doesn't work for my body. I'm 5'3" and 110 pounds, and this seems to be designed for a slightly larger and much heavier person.I'm not a huge fan of memory foam to begin with, but this stuff is extra dense and wasn't all that comfortable to sit on. It's better than my office chair alone, but my body is still very stiff when I get up from sitting on it, and while it does help the severity of my sciatica a bit, it doesn't do much for my general back pain.One major positive is the tailbone cutout. I have very little fat in my lower half and my tailbone always ends up aching when I sit anywhere for long periods of time. With this cushion I have almost no tailbone pain. The cover is soft and is holding up well so far.I wouldn't recommend this for petite people, but I could see it working for someone bigger than me.”
“I purchased this seat cushion for my car, a replacement for an earlier foam model of the same design. The leather seats were too hard on my back, and the previous version of the seat was very helpful for long trips. Unfortunately the newer memory foam version was as hard as the leather seat that had originally caused my back issues. It was returned.”
“So my tail bone is sensitive after sitting on hard surfaces for an extended period of time. I bought this for the bleachers at a graduation ceremony, it lasted over 2 hours and I'm happy to say that my bum didn't hurt :) usually after just 15-20 minutes I'd start to feel the pain. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to anyone with tailbone problems, no matter how temporary or severe. The cushion is extremely comfortable, the cover has a discreet zipper so that it can be washed, and there are little non skid dots on the bottom side (no pun intended.. Maybe) that help to prevent it from sliding all over, and a handle on the side to help with carrying. Overall, this a great, quality, and useful product.”
