“I have purchased 2 of these for my elderly mother, who has a severe case of restless leg. The first one I put in her leather chair and the second on a wooden dining room chair. It works equally well on both surfaces. I have sat down in the chair a couple of times and I'm always surprised at how nice it feels. The material reminds me of the foam bed toppers that you can buy to make your mattress softer. My six year old loves to open the zipper and squeeze the foam because it's a nice sensation. “Originally I gave two stars because this didn't seem to do anything. Then someone asked if I was sitting on it correctly. Huh?! Sir! How dare you! I'll have you know I've been sitting for most of my life. Alas they were right. Apparently I've indiscriminately been facing the cushion U shape forwards and backwards. “I order this specific cushion for a specific purpose; tailbone pain. It was suggested by a Physical Therapist to order this style of cushion. It has helped. I am glad it is not black since my PT suggested I take it with me for use in the car and sitting anywhere outside the home. A black cover may be easy to forget since black does not stand out as well as the gray cover. I plan to order another one for my car and one to keep in our second car and for restaurant seating.”
