“I've had a long term lower back-disc injury from a car accident, as well as a little arthritis in my lower back. I've had a small heating pad and it never seemed to help much. It would either not get hot or get way too hot. I thought maybe moist heat was the answer and found this mighty bliss heating pad. (You spritz with water for that function.) But I hadn't realized heating pads (moist or not) could be this large and this soft and have heat so evenly distributed. This one is! I love it. I have tried using it moist, but find that is less important for me than having a heating pad that works like this. Initially I thought I'd spend $20 on something like this. But once I read the reviews and realize that this is something I use every day, it made sense to spend a little bit more to get some thing that really worked effectively. Now I consider it an amazing deal where as the kinds of heating pads that you can buy at the drugstore or just throwing away your money because they simply don't work properly. If you are looking at heating pads and have aching or ongoing pain in your back, I urge you to consider this. It was a great purchase.”
“I have been using the Mighty Bliss heating pad daily to alleviate back pain and arthritic pain in my hands, knees, and legs since I received it 2 months ago. It is amazingly comfortable. The amount of heat it produces is very adequate. The Mighty Bliss is like a plush little blanket and drapes very nicely around my shoulders, back, legs, and hands. Unlike other heating pads which I have used in the past which feel like rigid, uncomfortable vinyl and cool into twisted, hardened shapes, the Mighty Bliss maintains its cozy, soft feel and original shape even when not in use. The other heating pads had cloth covers which snapped over the vinyl pad, and this design was always problematic. The cover was always slipping off, leaving the vinyl exposed to the skin. The cover on the Mighty Bliss totally encases the heating pad, and according to directions, can be hand-or-machine washed by simply disconnecting the electrical cord. The plush softness of the cover fabric adds to the comforting effect of the soothing heat. I would strongly recommend the Mighty Bliss to anyone who would like to experience true comfort in a heating pad.”
“I was super excited when I pulled it out of the box, because it was the softest material. I have never had one quite so soft. But, it doesn't consistently put out heat I prefer. Sometimes it would start out hot, but didn't last. Rather than exchange it, I chose to replace it with a Sunbeam heating pad. I have purchased several of them over the years and they are more reliable. If you're someone who likes your heating pad to be hot, I wouldn't recommend it. If you're someone who uses it here and there or short periods of time, it may work for you. I pretty much use mine 24/7!”
“The Mighty Bliss heating pad really is a great product. It's so good that the first few times I used it I thought it was defective. Here's why: I grew up using the old fashioned plastic heating pads that get red hot and burn you if you don't don't use a protective barrier or towel. But the Mughty Bliss doesn't reach its highest temperature until pressure is applied to it. It still heats up quicker than I've ever seen a heating pad heat up but you don't have to worry about it burning a curious child or pet that comes across it. You also don't have to worry about it burning any furniture it sits on while not in use.The high setting gets as hot as anyone could possibly ever need and gets there quickly while the cover provides a nice soft barrier between your skin and the heating elements and allows you to add moisture to your heat for added benefit.”
“Deserves 0 stars! I bought this to have after a major surgery. I'm sitting here using it and only half of the heating pad is working. It's been on for 30 mins and one side is heated and the other side is room temp. Doesn't help my situation when I need the whole size of the heating pad. Very disappointed and dissatisfied as I stated, I'm needing relief from a recent surgery and this breaks in the middle of my recovery. Also recently has been on high strength and the the pad was putting out no heat. I noticed the past couple days it started shutting off on its own after 10-15 mins. So I constantly had to watch. If you're needing a new heating pad, keep scrolling and get something better than this.**** if I can get good customer service I will change review. But again very disappointed.”
“This heating pad is ungodly hot. Even on low I have to use a towel (on top of my other clothes) in order to not get burned. I don't use it for long because (even on low) it starts to smell too hot if it's on longer than 15 minutes. I've never even tried it past low, that would probably give me some serious burns. My husband tried it too and thought it was WAY too hot. I gave it 2 stars (rather than 1) because I like everything else about it. Maybe I got a bad one? I don't know how people can stand how hot it is. And I've used and had heating pads my whole life.”
“This is a great heating pad with one major flaw, at least in the pad that I purchased. The 'Low' setting is so hot that I can only leave it turned on for a few minutes at a time. It's hotter on 'low' than my old heating pad was on 'high'. I placed a calibrated digital thermometer between my body and the pad and the temperature was over 140 degrees.The cord is nice and long, the control is ergonomic and easy to use, and the pad is soft and comfortable. Unfortunately, the heat output is much too hot for me to use, even on the lowest setting. If it wasn't for that issue, this heating pad would deserve a 5-star rating.UPDATE: 05/07/2021I changed my initial 2-star rating to a 5-star rating. I contacted Mighty Bliss and they stood behind the product 100%. They offered to refund my purchase, but I asked them to ship me a new pad instead. They did that immediately and without hesitation. The customer service was exceptional. My experience with them exceeded all my expectations and the new heating pad works great too!”
