TRAKK Copper Ankle Brace Compression Sleeve with Heel Pain Relief Reviews

4.2 Rating 58 Reviews
I wear a women's size 9.5 wide to extra wide shoe and ordered the XL hoping for mild compression and that's exactly how these fit me - just enough compression to support the tendons in my heel and feet, but not so much it drives me crazy and causes my feet to cramp (most compression socks cause my toes, feet and calves to cramp).I have heel pain at the back of my foot from plantar fasciitis - inflammation of the tendon. I've tried all kinds of crazy stuff. Foot braces, other compression socks and anklets, nothing has helped - till now.I really appreciate how they made the heel a cut out and non-compression material so that no extra pressure is applied directly to the back of my heel - where all the pain is. My heel is tender to the touch, so I don't tolerate compression over the heel. I've tried open heeled compression anklets, but those didn't help.I guess the copper in these actually makes a difference, as on the first day my pain was cut in half and I only limped with the first few steps I take, compared to all the time before.I've identified the cause of the tendon inflammation is from the bottom of my heel where I have calcified cartilage chunks floating around (always have had a lump of stuff that from time to time I smash and break it apart, but over the years it's not longer absorbed) and irritates the band of tendon that runs over it to the back of my heel. So I need to add some cushion to help take the stress off my heel. I go barefoot 90% of the time and just hate shoes (always have). Yet I need to cushion my heel, and with these Copper Joe compression anklets actually helping I needed to take that help one step further and ordered some silicon gel heel covers and that's been the combination that has me able to walk normally once again. I do still limp the first few steps as that tendon stretches out, but after that I no longer limp. I still have a tender spot on the heel, but it's actually starting to subside (after one week). So I will continue this combination from now on. It's hard to wear socks over this combination, so I use a thin dress sock on this foot and a regular sock on the other. This summer I'll wear a toeless sock over this set to keep it cleaner and help it last longer.

Don't get me wrong, these helped my ankle. But my issue was a bit higher than the ankle. And so putting the compression on the normal way didn't quite reach where I needed pressure. So I turned it upside down. And that did the trick. Didn't really restrict my mobility but the pressure allowed my ankle to heal as needed. I wore for about four days consistently and that got the job done.

I can handle compression. I currently use the small of compression socks even though I am in the middle of the medium range because I like compression. Compression Z offers much higher compression overall evenly throughout the sock. These socks were too tight in the ball of foot and at the top where the reinforced bands exist. I could not take them and my foot started to cramp. However, they are not tight enough everywhere else. I had to return them. I hope this review helps you make a decision.!!

Sometimes my ankles are a little sensitive and seem to be prone to twisting. When they feel this way, they also make my feet ache a little and it's uncomfortable. These socks give me just the right amount of support that my feet need. They are easy to put on, are not too thick and they make my feet feel better.

So far, I've worm these for over two weeks straight (only in the house though, I do not wear these in my shoes but occasionally in flipflops if I'm just watering plants out front haha)I was diagnosed with Raynauds when I was 17, but I've had it since I was 15. (I'm now 21)And my Raynauds is a little weirder then most because I have in my feet instead of the hands, I got it at a "young" age and my feet react to heat instead of the cold.So circulation has never been the main issue because my blood actually overflows more then it underflows hence so many flare ups.The reason I mention all this is because I can't feel my toes more then half the time EVER. I rely on my heels fot balance because the older I get or the more stressed out I get, the less I feel the 'end' of my feet and toes especially.I have tried a lot of things, like A LOT.And I've been iffy about compression socks since circulation isn't really the issue BUTI ended up trying these and it took awhile go get used to but I'm enjoying these more then I thought I would, I still can't feel my toes but these socks give me something to feel on the top of my feet which has assisted my balance greatly and it's been awhile since I've been able to walk without having to stare at the ground which is really nice. They are quite tight which is what I need but if your looking for something loose these are not the socks for you.I don't know how many others this would help but if you have Raynauds the same way I do or any symptoms along those longs I mentioned I think it would be worth giving these a shot!I have to take them off sometimes so my feet don't get too hot or else they'll flare up but that isn't because of the sock.I haven't had any issues with them yet but I did notice I think they do run a bit small and the stitching does lose up a little quick so I have to take them on and off very gently but other then that I think I will keep using them and probably order a second pair as a back up!I hope this helps anyone in anyway, it was challenging at the time my raynauds started because no doctor or rheumatologist I went to knew what it was until I was 17 and I was really self conscious about it when I was younger! So if there's anyone who is in the same boat as I was, I hope this helps! :D

I bought these to help stabilize my foot because I broke a bone in my foot. It worked very well and I'm happy that I got them. They slide on very easy and they are flexible. Highly recommend .
