I have tons of neck pain due to a combination of herniation, cord compression, arthritis, and a neurological disease. I'm always looking for new ways to alleviate pain without popping pills. This cold wrap fits pretty well and offers SOME relief from my chronic pain. I like that the material is "heavy," because it helps the cooling material conform better to my skin and provides some soothing weight. There's a strong velcro closure in the front which holds securely.I'm a small person, and this was big enough to cover most of my sternomastoid muscles. I have to take it off and reposition it of I want to treat my trapezius muscles instead; it isn't big enough to do both, unfortunately. This is too bad, because I usually have pain in both places. The inner gel is thick and supple and heavy. The outer cloth is a sort of slinky synthetic that feels non-absorbent. It can be carefully wiped clean. The edges are kind of rough, sort of rippled and not trimmed close to the gel. There's also an odd pocked surface texture that is visible through the cloth. Not sure what that means. Everything works fine, so I think this is just cosmetic. The cold stays cool for 45-60 minutes, but it slowly dissipates. You can also microwave this if you want to use it as a heat wrap. I keep mine in my refrigerator so that it's always ready to use. I've found that freezing wraps like this makes them too stiff to use and they develop ice crystals on the surface. So, I stick to refrigeration. The current price on this of $23 is a little high for the size and quality. I might pay that much if it was bigger and could treat my neck and shoulders at the same time.

I didn't think it was comfortable and if you don't have the velcro snap lined up tightly (which is too tight for most necks) it scratches your skin. It didn't stay cool for long either. Returning it tomorrow. I'm going to pay more money to get a nicer one that my friend ordered but was more money. Unfortunately, when you try to save money it doesn't always pan out..

Not much more to say about this. Seems a little pricey for a cooling pack that is really mainly used for your neck. That said, it's very comfortable to wear and is not too cold for direct contact with your skin. I wore it until it was no longer cool and no signs of skin damage / frost bite / or pain.Definitely helps with neck, upper spine issues. The problem I see with this right away is the Velcro is poorly attached to the brace/pack. Already seeing signs of failure. A shame they didn't use the same Velcro I'm seeing on other types of newer cold packs. The newer stuff on other packs sticks very well, but is easily taken apart and reattached as needed. So that's this product's worse selling point.Overall, if you have a real pain in the neck (not talking relatives or lousy friends), this is a recommend. Again, I can't speak to the longevity. Even if the velcro fails sooner than later, there are easy after market ways to remedy the device.

I bought this a week ago cause I was in a car accident and broke my neck, this helps my neck pain and fits perfectly under my neck brace. It's very soft, and lasts pretty long.

Best pain relief for sun burnt neck I got while on vacation. I didn't freeze it just put the gel pack in the refrigerator, don't need to damage my skin any more than it already is. The gel pack is actually pretty cool on its own without any refrigeration it your body quickly warms the pack so it's best to keep it chilled. The gel pack is a solid gel. No squishy liquid that clumps in one spot. The material is like spandex biker shorts, it very comfortable. I highly recommend this pack as an alternative to traditional ice packs as this conforms nicely to the body and provides slight compression. The gels gets cool but not hard so it's super comfortable to wear. Great cooling pack.

Nice to have something specifically made for the neck. It says it is specifically for icing, it does not look like you are supposed to heat it up.
