I have facet joint syndrome and spinal stenosis of my C4-C6 vertebrae from being hit by a car as a kid. Over the years I've become a connoisseur of cold and hot therapy packs, patches, and devices of all kinds. Every ice pack I've ever used, whether liquid, gel, clay, chemical - has suffered from different intensities of the same problem. If they're cold enough to help, they're too stiff to sit right where I need them without me applying pressure; but if they're soft enough to sit properly, they're not cold enough to work.Even while I was tapping purchase on this, I thought it was going to be yet another waste of $20. But instead, it is the ice pack I've always dreamed of, precisely because it isn't an ice "pack" so much as it is a thick sheet of solid gel material. The best way to describe the texture is a cross between neoprene, memory foam, and jello. The cover is very soft and does not collect condensation in the freezer.Others have commented that the cold only lasts 20-25 minutes, and I agree, except that it is 20 super-effective minutes. Have you ever wished you could put your neck, just your neck, in an ice bath? This is the closest approximation you'll ever get. It's also hands-free with the Velcro fastener at the front of the neck, so when I'm in pain during the workday (WFH) I can strap it on and get back to my desk. I am so happy with this purchase.

I love the soft but solid gel-like material inside this pad. It gives an even cold feeling on my whole neck and up the back of my head which is helpful with my cervicogenic headaches. The only thing I wish was different is I'd like it to be just a tiny bit longer, and maybe a little wider, on the pieces that comes around the front side of the neck and attach with the velcro. Otherwise, perfection.

The thickness and texture is perfect. It wraps around your neck and it is easy to use. It eliminates the hassle of a clumpy ice pack and the burning sensation. Maybe it provides less time than a plastic ice pack, but it is more comfortable and tolerable, which helps with adhering to the doctors orders of icing my neck every hour. It is still cold enough to get that numbing sensation from the cold and the curve that goes down the back is the perfect length. I recommend it!

I actually got this neck ice pack wrap ice pack for my husband, who is often overly hot after working outside, and cool/cold packs on the back of the neck can help cool down a person faster. I tried this both in the fridge and the freezer, and then tested it. Overall this fit pretty comfortably, especially consider that it fastens across the throat, and it stayed up on the neck in it's position easily. The Velcro on this is VERY strong and covers a large portion of the front "tabs". The fabric is nice and sleek against the skin and is very malleable. The fridge version was the most comfortable for me, it stayed cool but didn't have that super cold that can come from a freeze. The frozen version was VERY cold, and stayed that way for about 15 minutes.I think for our purposes I would keep it in the fridge. I can see this being excellent for neck/shoulder injuries, surgeries and recovery needs. The box it came in was also nice and sturdy, so this could be giftable for someone with neck or shoulder injuries.

I just had my neck fused and c6-c7 and needed an ice pack that was comfortable to lay on as I recovered. I bought several different ice packs to give me numerous options, but I kept going back to this one because it was so comfortable. I ended up returning the other style ones and bought another one of these. It is thin enough to lay on without any discomfort and stays cold for about 20 minutes. The Velcro straps work great, allowing me to wear it around the house, ride in the car, and sit at my desk. It is the perfect solution for my needs.
