“This shoulder wrap is perfect for applying ice to a sore shoulder, and for keeping it in place while moving around.I keep gel-packs in the freezer, and when my shoulder starts bothering me I always have several of them ready to place on my shoulder. The individual gel packs work OK, and they definitely help with the inflammation, but it's hard to do anything other than sitting down. This shoulder wrap has allowed me to ice down my shoulder, while doing other things, and still having the use of both of my arms.Nice design and seems to be well made. I will probably be ordering a second one soon.”
“Could not find any size indicator on the wrap itself. The size indicator is on the package. I am small by American size and this wrap is size L. So for those of American size L and bigger, this is unlikely to fit!I love this ice pack wrap. It is stretchable to a certain extent. Easy and flexible to put on your shoulder. Excellent quality and the material feels like a wet suit. This is meant for cold therapy. Wish it could be used for hot therapy as well!”
“The medium feels more like a 'smedium'...it would have been nicer if if the strap wasn't built in and was and adjustable strap. This might make it easier to put on by yourself if you don't have someone else to help you out. The stitching on this is also ready to tear at the bicep sleeve area and on the stitching around the velco fastener. So build quality can definitely use improvement. The actual material feels like it's neoprene (like the bodysuits that surfers wear). The gel pack is sewn into this unit and is not removable or replaceable (unless you're going to tear into it and sew it back up). The product description actually lists this as a pro/feature instead of a con but I think it'd be a lot easier if I could just throw the gel packs into the freezer instead of having to roll this up compact so it fits in my freezer.Once it's on though, the gel packs get cool/cold enough and I can feel it icing down my shoulder just fine. At this point it's more of when this thing will rip and be unusable. So for sizing issue and build quality or lack thereof, knocking down 1-star.”
“I have used many kinds and sizes of ice packs for chronic pain and this one by far is the best quality and my favorite. When frozen it is completely flexible, nothing to break up or mold out of place. It is very soft. It is a great size for my back and the strap works well. The strap is seperate to have only if you want it. It folds up really small in the door shelf of my medium sized camper fridge freezer. It stays cold a nice long while. I love it and will be recommending it to others. I think it is worth the value.”
“My husband had carpel tunnel problems for years. Recently it has started to affect his shoulder. He sleeps on his side and the shoulder he has trouble with is the shoulder he sleeps on. We tried various cold packs but they were bulky, cumbersome and incredibly clumsy. This shoulder wrap is a sling made of a thick wetsuit type material. It's about half an inch thick. It's cool, almost clammy to the touch but not damp. When you put it on, it is form hugging and looks very neat and tidy and it is incredibly comfortable. You can freeze it in a Ziploc bag or heat it in the microwave. It seems to be have something like a dense memory foam inside that doesn't burst and, in the microwave, only needs about 30 seconds on each side. It is adjustable via a broad Velcro strap. I can't really find anything to fault with it. It even costs less than the old fashioned gel packs they sell at the local pharmacy.I highly recommend it.”
“This is a lot heavier and thicker than what I expected. I haven't used it chilled and in fact, I bought it to hold a couple of USB heat pads under, but this has been good for that as well. The way it wraps under the other arm is a little uncomfortable, but I think it's good enough because other methods would probably make it more complicated. For the price I paid, I think this is a great option if you have shoulder issues.”
