“Could maybe get five stars from some. My office chair is a fixed height, so this thick cushion is a bit too high/thick. As others said it's not super soft especially when new. It may soften or get more comfortable over time, so I will update review if that's the case.”

“Had bought a competitor's product about a year ago. It didn't work for me (in my expensive office chair), but has served my wife in her car. This product DOES work for me. It is soft (enough) and compacts to the point that I really don't have to readjust my lumbar support. The zipper is on the bottom (one of the things that distressed me about the earlier product), but isn't sharp, that I worry about it cutting my $2,000 chair's fabric. I know what your saying: Why would a $2,000 chair need help. “I bought one of these about 3 years ago cuz my chair seat was hard and flat. I've had no issues with it all that time, although the zipper is beginning to rip from taking the cover off to wash it. But when I bought a second chair, I knew exactly what to buy for it right away. These are comfortable and durable. I only wish there was a way to keep them in place. I'm constantly having to put it back where I want it cuz it slowly slides.”
