“Broken after 1 use After one use, ice pack seam ripped open on corner and gel beads all over my chair. This ice pack is too expensive to have broken after 1 use. Very dissapointed.”
“Good but got a hole Although I love the size of the ice pack in the ability of the beads to move around to different parts, I was disappointed after the first or second use one of the sections developed a hole in the beads started to leak out. I ended up sewing and closing off that section and it still works but the plastic seems to be poor quality, tears easily.”
“Just ok I like the large size of this but the 4 sections are connected so all of the gel beads travel to the lowest section, taking all the heat away from the other sections. Only works well if flat and horizontal.”
“My son had open knee surgery to repair major tendon on from of knee holding on by a small amount of tissue and a second tendon also torn.He reports that these cold packs out of the freezer have reduced his pain and swelling incredibly well. They are large enough to cover the entire surface and sides of the knee. Also, the beads in the ice pack help to keep the pack around the knee rather than just lay on topThank you for making such a useful product. I will be recommending them to everyone.”
“I bought this because I broke my wrist, resulting in a titanium plate that hooks into the bone as well as seven pins and four screws. Ouch! I started OT two weeks after surgery. It hurts, and there's still quite a lot of swelling. The OT recommended this sort of gel pack with gel beads because it would conform to my hand and arm, and it can be heated to help relax the muscles and tendons or cooled to reduce swelling. I do wish this was offered in a medium size, though. I have smaller ones that I can sandwich on either side of my hand, but they're too small to cover my wrist and forearm. This one is big enough to cover your whole back, which makes it almost twice the size I need. That means it's heavier and difficult for me to evenly distribute the beads (which have to be squished around, since they heat unevenly in the microwave). Still, it can be done--it's not ideal, but it's better than the ones that are much too small.”
