“Peas/beads are a must so that if used as ice pack, it will be pliable. Specifically purchased this product bc it has the small beads. This is a must when you are looking for ice relief. The beads make the piece pliable. I have bought several other kinds of hot/cold packs, but when you freeze them, they are like a brick in the shape of however you placed them in the freezer. The beads allow you to shape the ice pack to your need. This also has a wide, a very long velcro strap that makes it easy for you to get around your back without having to struggle for the end of a strap.”
“The cold packs have a good design and like most cold packs they work really well, but only for about 20 minutes. Then they take a while for cool back down in the freezer. The straps were a great idea as well as the beads to easily form to the location. They just don't stay cold long enough.”

“If you get this, make sure you have a large enough microwave to lay it flat and that you don't misplace the instructions. Heating it up before it's fully cool WILL cause it to break. We learned this the hard way after having this less than a month.On the plus side, it stays warm for a good amount of time and is very soft and flexible.”
“Good for hot and cold, but don't heat too long This worked great at hot and cold - held temperature well. However, don't heat in microwave too long. I did for 2 minutes on high, and one of them exploded before later use.”
