“I love the idea of this and the strap fits comfortably and securely around my head but the gel 'bead' design is flawed. It's just a bad material for this purpose. The beads take a long time in the freezer to cool and then when you put the thing on, it's freezing for a few short minutes until the large surface area of the beads and the air gaps between them absorb heat like crazy and the thing is warm again inside 15 minutes. Not what you want if you have a stonking migraine.”
“Unfortunately, this product does not provide the cooling sensation I need for my headaches. After you put it in the freezer for two hours, It's not that cold, and I think the cloth part (the side that touches your head) has a lot to do with that. This is the first hot/cold head-wrap type product that I have used that has the cloth part touching your head. However, even when I turned it inside out it did not stay cold for longer than five minutes. If you completely freeze it for a few days, it drips badly and still doesn't work very well. If you have frequent headaches or migraines, do not use this product as it shall not be of any help to you. Perhaps if the makers of this product improve its ability to hold cold temperatures it can be very useful. I also think they should get rid of the cloth texture.”
“I bought these when I started feeling poorly, getting aches and pains in my head, neck and shoulders, not to mention burning up with cold and flu symptoms. These work great, you just stick them in the freezer in the morning and then take them out when you get home and put theme on whichever body part hurts and it really helps with the discomfort and/or pain. I wish the bead side was covered by the material as well but I just wear mine back to front and you still feel the soothing coolness.”
“I got these to use with chronic migraines. I don't know why this didn't occur to me, but when you have a headache, it doesn't feel very good to put on something that squeezes your head. A great concept, and if you don't have headaches will probably work well for other things.”
