“It's a good shape and thickness, but wrapping it is problematic. I broke my ankle and use ice A LOT. I wanted to live this (especially because it's purple!) but wrapping it with the Velcro doesn't quite work when the beginning end is off to one side. I spend way too long “fixing†this. Otherwise it works as expected, and the shape is actually kind of perfect for an ankle.”
“I have severe pain in my left ankle. An X-ray shows arthritis, but OMG I didn't think arthritis could hurt this much. I swear it's something else, but I don't know what. At any rate, it keeps me up at night, but icing it helps. The problem is getting an ice pack to stay in place. I generally have to lay on my left side with an ice pack under my ankle, but then I can't move my leg or turn over, etc. So, after doing a search here on Amazon, I found this lovely item that seems tailor-made for my problem. Voilà - I could keep ice on my ankle and still be able to move my leg, turn over, walk, etc. The soft side against the skin is great, and the little beads keep the thing from freezing so solid that it won't bend around your ankle. This would also be great for using on a wrist, knee, or elbow. Most recently, I used it on my upper arm. I got my Covid vaccine booster and my arm hurt like heck so I used this ice pack. Amazing. I am so glad I purchased it!”
“This seemed great in theory at a decent price point. However, after using 3 times, the casing broke in 2 places so the little balls inside spilled out. I put it in the freezer to ice my sprained ankle and it was great. But the third night I had it on, my ankle felt wet and when I checked it out the product had torn. When I looked at it the next day, thinking I could patch it I saw it torn in two places and knew it would not be worth it. Nice concept, extremely poor quality.”
“I got this for my ankle and I love it. The beads made the ice pack moldable and the elastic velcro strap holds it in place, no more sliding around brick ice pack.”
