“I bought this item to relieve back pain resulting from an injury earlier this year. I was not aware of how knotted my back was until I started using the massager. I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews, it hurts quite a bit until you get use to it. After all, it is a Shiatsu massager. Shiatsu style massage is typically an intense, deep pressure massage. It took a few days to get use to the pressure, but once I did, I started feeling a lot better. The heat feature is very nice too. The massager has a few issues that need to ba addressed. First, it's only about 12" x 8". You can only massage your lower, middle, upper back or neck at a time. You won't be massage your whole back during a single session. But, the advantage is the massager can go very high on your back/neck. A whole back massager won't do that. So, I like that I can position this massager wherever I need it on my back or neck. Second, the power cord kept falling out after I position the massager on my back. I finally had to duct tape it in place. Probably not the best solution, but it works. Third, it comes with a power adapter for your car. The idea is that you can use it while you drive. The problem is, the unit is about four inches thick. There's no way to place it between yourself and the car seat that doesn't push you way forward and completely out of alignment. The first and only time I tried to use it in the car put me in this weird, contorted position that was completely unsafe. I'm sure I paid extra for this power adapter for the car, that I will never use. You could probably save a few bucks and buy a unit that is for home use only. Other than those three issues, I like what I bought. It was a good deal. I''ve kept with it, working through the initial pain and bruising, and gotten a lot of muscle pain relief. I cannot recommend this product because of the car adapter issue, but I recommend this type of device. Maybe find one without a car adapter.”
