Really great support for stretches because I'm able to hold my positions longer. Easy to use and comes with pictures of suggested stretches.

I bought these originally for my daughter who is in acro and dance. I have tried them, im not sure how great they are for pain relief, but they are definitely sturdy

We love this yoga wheel. Wife uses it almost daily. It's very sturdy and can handle my 200lbs going to town

I love that this is a harder foam roller than others I have had. There isn't much give if that is what you are looking for this is the one you want.

I bought this specifically for the smallest diameter wheel to use for back pain. I have a foam roller which also works but the yoga wheel is narrow enough to fit between the shoulder blades. If you get this wheel for back pain I recommend you also use the other two wheels because it's important to open the chest muscles for a great stretch, which helps the upper back muscles loosen up. My ex boyfriend (baby daddy) bought the Chirp wheel which is what I originally wanted but the price tag was over my budget. I tried it and to be honest, it was too soft for me and I found it difficult to stay balanced on it to keep my spine in the center divot. I found that the activa wheel was perfect for what it is intended for and it was $47 compared to $125. Take that for what it's worth.

13 years ago, I had a bad accident and fall 45ft down a tiled staircase. I broke 6 vertebraeand needed 4 major surgeries to be able to walk and be with less pain. A few month ago, I went down to Florida with my sister in law, and stayed together as the pandemic was raging in NY/NJ. During our 3 month stay, she teached me yoga. As I'm quite stiff, she used a wheel to use with some of the positions. Coming back from Florida, I got a set after her recommendation. The set itself looks nice, its sturdy and easy to store. The wheels are sturdy and have some padding. They are a good width and comfortable, to use. My sister in law, still helps me 2x a week and is impressed with my progress. I use the big and the medium wheel daily. My back and neck pain got a lot better, and I feel more bendable. I lost some weight too and overall feel so much better. I really think having a set, makes more sense, as I use them for different approaches and during yoga sessions. I would however be cautious if you had major surgery and consult a doctor and work with a professional. I did this, and it made a great difference.
