I was a little confused with L and then had a blonde moment saying it means "low" but once after figuring that out, its amazing. I can't wait for winter to try out the heating setting but on high it works more then expected. Its firm at some points on High and i'm a male size 8.5, trust me its more pressure then a person can do. I recommend this as a gift or just to gift yourself! its such a buy I wish I knew about earlier. I work in manufacturing wearing steel toe boots all night long and am usually on my fret or walking around almost my whole shift then coming home and doing housework and raising a child alone so by mid week my feet are aching. You can control the strength of the massage and compression and the heat option makes it especially soothing. The timer is for 15 or 30 minutes which is great as it's so soothing that he often falls asleep while it's on!”
