I bought this product to try out for more exact painting. Without a sticky backing, paint likes to pool under the stencil and creates a very sloppy transfer. With this product you don't have to worry about that as it seals the design so paint can't get underneath. You can use it multiple times and stays sticky. I only bought 5 feet to try out, sold some stencils to a client and just bought another 20'. I'll be using this material a lot and the price is really good!

We use this material a little differently than most people probably do as we use it on glass for the purpose of etching glass as well as painting it. It holds on the glass very well and definitely comes off easily once exposed to water. The material itself is pretty thick and it is I believe a relatively thick piece of plastic. It weeds fairly well but if you have small detailed pieces it can be a bit rough especially with the insides of O's, A's, P's, etc. But other than that it is easy to weed. The adhesive holds very well with little to no movement once you have gotten it in place. You can still force it to move but it resists nicely. And unlike vinyl this will not stretch when you try to re-position it which is a major bonus. The transfer tape sticks pretty well, although we are looking for a transfer tape that is a little sticker for use with this product in the future. Any ideas are appreciated. We've tried several. I'll give 5 stars because if you are looking for a stencil material this sure beats using vinyl, especially if you are looking for something that you can use water to remove.
