Director Coleman Francis cements his status as unofficial MST3K muse with this 1966 film about escaped convicts who volunteer to fight in the Bay of Pigs. Needless to say, the movie was about as successful as the invasion. On the bright side, the riffs do destroy their target - although, as Crow T. Robot says, "I want to hurt this movie but I can never hurt it the way it hurt me."On the Satellite of Love, there's a "method" to Mike's impersonation of Carol Channing.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 experiment #619 Red Zone Cuba. What can I say about this stink burger of a movie but a hilarious MST3K episode. The director of the movie was Colman Francis.. Enough said if you've ever seen MST3K #609 Skydivers and MST3K# 621 The Beast of Yucca Flats you know what I'm talking about. The riffing is top-notch even with an incomprehensible plot involving a pseudo Bay of Pigs type operation, capture, escape to Nevada or someplace lots of pain, and other terrors. John Carradine somehow tells of this tale as an old railroad engineer via narration. He also sings "Night Train to Mundo Fine" Which is pure old fashioned Nightmare Fuel...
