He's Back… To Lay Down the Law!
It's Megacop vs. Megacorp when Detroit's cyborg crime-fighter hits the streets to protect the innocent – this time from corporate greed!
When the ruthless corporation that runs Motor City begins kicking families out of their homes to clear space for a profitable new real estate project, RoboCop (Robert John Burke, 2 Guns, Limitless) joins with a renegade band of freedom fighters to save them. But RoboCop must face some deadly foes, including a lethally efficient android and a dangerous gang of thugs. RoboCop's latest arsenal of high-tech weaponry only somewhat evens the battlefield, as this lone superhero takes on the entire army of corporate militia in an all-out war to control Detroit! This last film in the trilogy is directed by cult filmmaker Fred Dekker (The Monster Squad, Night of the Creeps).

It's hard to accept a Robocop movie without Peter Weller or an R rating but nonetheless, this Shout Factory release is still worth every penny!

Man, I forgot that there are things in this movie that are really good. I know it does not have Peter Weller, but it is still really good. I love the incorporation of the ninja aspect as well. Probably my favorite thing about this movie is that they got Basil Poledouris back to do the score. He was sorely missed in number 2.

Robocop 3 has always gotten a bad rap from the fans, but this new release by Scream has enough interesting things in it to warrant a purchase and re-watch. The most interesting being a great interview and commentary by fred Dekker and a nice transfer. Robocop 3 has never looked this good.

I never would have expected goofy ol' RoboCop 3 to get a collector's edition, let alone a good one, yet here we are. If you're going to own the second sequel to RoboCop, Scream Factory's edition is the only way to go.

As you'd expect from a film about Robocop, there's a lot to love and entertain, but it's certainly got problems too. While it doesn't offer as much as the first two films, it still has its own odd charms and some cool action sequences and effects work. While Shout has certainly delivered a terrific looking and sounding edition of the film, the main selling point is definitely the fantastic special features which will be thrilling to anyone that's a fan of the franchise. In-depth and well-produced, the extras included tell a fascinating story of the behind-the-scenes story on making the film. -Kung Fu Bob
