"SEE IT. BUT NOT ALONE." – STEPHEN KING
WINNER BEST HORROR FILM – FANTASTIC FEST
It's just another night at the morgue for a father (Brian Cox, Trick 'r Treat, Zodiac ) and son (Emile Hirsch, Lone Survivor, Killer Joe ) team of coroners, until an unidentified, highly unusual corpse arrives. Discovered buried in the basement of the home of a brutally murdered family, the young Jane Doe — eerily well-preserved and with no visible signs of trauma — is shrouded in mystery. As they work into the night to piece together the cause of her death, the two men begin to uncover the disturbing secrets of her life. Soon, a series of terrifying events make it clear: this Jane Doe may not be dead. The latest from Troll Hunter director André Øvredal is a scarily unpredictable, supernatural shocker that never lets up. This chiller also stars Ophelia Lovibond (Guardians Of The Galaxy ) and Michael McElhatton (Game Of Thrones ).

The cast and story were pretty good. It had a creepy atmosphere throughout the film.

One of the best new horror movies in recent years. You will enjoy the movie more going into it if you know the least about it.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I sat down to watch this flick. I was pleasantly surprised. Great performances by Emil Hirsch and Brian Cox. Great twist ending. Highly recommended.

This was a nice surprise. I decided to take a chance and buy this movie before having seen it (because of Shout! Factory's 50% off sale), and I have to say I don't regret the purchase. It was eerie, suspenseful, and really well-made for a lower budget film. I take one star off because the Blu-ray is very bare bones. No extras at all! But just for the movie I recommend it.

One of the better recent horror movies. Acting is great and this is the best kind of horror: not extremely gory but very suspenseful and creepy.

Who is Jane Doe? Discovered in the midst of a bizarre crime scene, Jane's body raises many creepy questions during her autopsy. Cox & Hirsch are very good as father & son morticians who spend a long, grueling night with Jane. I didn't love the last act, but the film delivers a lot of scares. The disc is light on extras; a commentary by director André Øvredal(Trollhunter) would have been a nice.
