"It's probably impossible not to enjoy the movie. No director holds a candle to (Walter) Hill for sheer visceral expertise." – Film Comment
Amid a brooding rock & roll landscape, the Bombers motorcycle gang, led by the vicious Raven Shaddock (Willem Dafoe, John Wick), kidnap diva Ellen Aim (Diane Lane, Man of Steel). Her hope for rescue lies with unlikely heroes: soldier of fortune Tom Cody (Michael Paré, Bad Moon) and his sidekick, the two-fisted beer-guzzling McCoy (Amy Madigan, The Dark Half). Joined by Ellen's manager, Billy Fish (Rick Moranis, Ghostbusters), the trio plunges headfirst into a world of rain-splattered streets, hot cars, and deadly assassins.
This cult favorite features a razor-sharp cast and original songs written by Jim Steinman, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty and Ry Cooder and performed by The Blasters and The Fixx. Directed by cult filmmaker Walter Hill (The Warriors, Southern Comfort, 48 Hrs.), Streets of Fire is a rock & roll shotgun blast to the senses.

Great production of a classic and all the bonus content was awesome. It's great learning the ends and outs of how a film is made.

I love this movie so when I finally treated myself to this blu ray set, I knew it was worth it just for the movie. If you remember the original VHS recording or original DVD release you know what it looked like, what they did to it, is just spectacular. The extras are awesome. Shotguns and Six Strings is a great thing to watch and have for any fan of this Rock N Roll Fable. Thank you Shout Factory.

This is a beautiful blu-ray release, of what I think is best described as a rock n' roll western.

Amazing blu-ray with some of the most extensive extras I've seen in a while. Another stellar job by Shout! Factory.

One of my favorite flicks of the 1980s, STREETS OF FIRE is a definite guilty pleasure. It has an energy and style which more than makes up for the admittedly shallow and generally unlikeable characters (Diane Lane as the snooty rock star, Michael Pare as the overly macho hero, and Rick Moranis as the over-the-top businessman). The bombastic music and Ms Lane's extremely easy-the-eyes presence are the highlights of this piece of pulp fiction, and where else are you going to find a climactic battle involving sledgehammers? This is escapist entertainment at its most ambitious and enjoyable. I've been waiting for this Blu-ray release ever since it first came on the ill-fated HD-DVD format. Over a decade later, and the final product is worth the wait. The movie has never looked or sounded better (although I was hoping for a little more dynamics on the soundtrack), and the bonus materials are a fan's wet dream. The only thing I would have wanted to see is an accompanying soundtrack remastered on CD, but that is just mere greediness on my part. Fans should pick up this release now and newbies should give it a look to see a bit of 80's movie magic!

The Shout Factory Blu-ray version of this movie is excellent! I have never seen it look as good as it does here. The movie itself is, of course, an awesome classic! Love it!
