From the director of Chained Heat comes a new tale of survival behind bars!
Michelle (Shari Shattuck, Arena) is young and pretty… and in prison for someone else's crime. Soon, the naive newcomer is making enemies in all the wrong places. Diane, a kinky warden, wants to maneuver Michelle into her plush private "pleasure room." The sadistic guard wants to pay her a visit in solitary confinement. And a ruthless, psychotic fellow inmate just wants to see her dead. As a full-blown cell block riot explodes around her, Michelle plunges into a desperate, deadly confrontation with the treacherous foe that can prove her innocence – or destroy her life!

A cool B-movie from the eighties... From the song "Tuff Enuff" of The Fabulous Thunderbirds at the beginning, memories from that era came to my mind. Not as sleazy as other w.i.p. exploitation flicks, but quite entertaining, action-packed and with some real story thrown into it. Maybe not for everyone's taste, but a good collectible for fans of this kind of cinema.

I was hoping that Shout!Factory release more Cannon's pictures and with ''The Naked Cage'' I'm more than satisfy. Shout!Factory have done a great transfer, the movie looks good and the audio sounds just fine, clarity and depth are nice. You'll probably remember some terrific performances from Angel Tompkins and Christina Whitaker or the riot scene. Recommended ! PS. I recommend you ''The women in cages collection''

I recently purchased "The Naked Cage" as well as many other titles from Shout Factory. All of their titles are released with the best picture & audio which means you will always be getting the best version of each film available. Although "The Naked Cage" does not have many extras, most of the Shout titles released have a plethora of extra features making them a great addition to any collection. Shout along with Criterion are the best Blu Rays on the market today. Well done Shout Factory!
