"Jackson Stewart has created a brilliant but deadly game for audiences to play with the great Barbara Crampton, a seductive new monster as iconic as Freddy Krueger. Not to be missed." – Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator, From Beyond)
"A gutbucket load of gory fun, and a love letter to fans of a bygone era of horror, expertly resurrected by the filmmakers. Nostalgic and witty.” – Don Mancini (Child's Play)
Welcome, curious viewers…have you the courage to go Beyond The Gates?
After their father's unexplained disappearance, two estranged brothers – responsible Gordon (Graham Skipper) and reckless John (Chase Williamson) – reunite to sift through the contents of his stubbornly anachronistic VHS rental store. Among the inventory, they find an old interactive VCR board game. Intrigued, the brothers pop in the tape… and soon discover that this video is no ordinary game, but a portal to a nightmarish alternate reality – one with deadly consequences for anyone who dares to press "play."
Featuring horror legend Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, From Beyond), Beyond The Gates is a retro-cool tale of "hex, dies, and videotape" from director Jackson Stewart!

This isn't a review on the movie (which is fucking awesome by the way, 4.5 stars). This is a review on Scream Factory as a company since they ignore most complaints through email and have horrendous customer service. If you are looking for killer ass blu rays and dvds, Scream Factory is your place. But if you are looking for a killer selection AND great customer service, turn around. I work in customer service myself so I know the struggles and know everyone has their days but even friends of mine and people I know have had bent lithographs, wrong items delivered to them. And when called out they simply ignored. I can get into full detail but after my experience with them I'm well aware that isn't going to do much of anything. I just hope someone takes this company's customer service department and replaces them with people who genuinely love the job and love working with people. Considering these blu rays aren't cheap, there is NO reason the customers should be treated like garbage. Step up your game. Live up to the products you sell! Because so far, you've been a huge fucking disappointment.

If you're in the mood for some humor, well drawn characters and relationships, and plenty of fun, practical gore effects, BtG is worth checking out. The movie has just the right amount of camp (VHS boardgames, neon lighting, Barbara Crampton over-vamping at the camera) but at this movie's core it's about facing the reality of who your family truly is. Great first work from Jackson Stewart, can't wait to see what he does next.
