"TAI, LOOK HOW BIG YOU’VE GROWN!"It's been six years since that summer adventure when Tai and the rest of the DigiDestined crossed over to the Digital World, and nearly three years since the final battle between Kari's second generation DigiDestined and MaloMyotismon. And, at some point, the gate to the Digital World mysteriously closed. With the gate closed, the days continue to pass, until the adventure "digivolves" once again.

Arrived quickly, but quality of poster isn't the greatest and the DVD paper cover already had some bumps and tears on the edges. Still would purchase from again, though! The bonus poster is still a plus.

The Shout Factory release of the first Digimon Adventure Tri. movie brings back the nostalgia with an exciting, modern take. The packaging is clean and well-designed, the disc has several impressive features (English and Japanese audio tracks!), and the picture quality is superb. If you were a fan of Digimon back in the day, be sure to check this out and see how the Digidestined have grown!

It's great returning to the first Digimon crew after so long, and even better when nearly all of the original dub cast returned for this movie's English version. It's nostalgia at its finest, while also seeing how the kids cope with the difficulty of growing up and including their Digimon partners in their rapidly changing lives. The new character and her partner feel needlessly tacked on though (especially her partner), and the plot drags a bit thanks to their presence. Time will tell if they really add anything to the story, but it's really up to the viewer.
