The withdrawn and recently divorced Emily (Talia Shire, Rocky) lives a lonely existence. But after enduring a bizarre assault at the hands of a stranger, Emily finds both comfort and friendship in her neighbor Andrea (Elizabeth Ashley, The Carpetbaggers.) As Emily contends with the fact that her attacker still stalks the streets, she slowly discovers that there is more to her new acquaintance, Andrea, beyond her helpful façade – something that becomes a window to the dark soul of depraved obsession.
Directed by acclaimed cinematographer Gordon Willis (The Godfather, Annie Hall) and featuring a score by the legendary Ennio Morricone (The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, The Hateful Eight), Windows is a dark and controversial thriller of lust and psychological pain.

Tremendous work from all involved to bring this to Blu Ray. The transfer is stellar, and brings out stunning details in Gordon Willis's often dark compositions. The film itself isn't much of a thriller, but it's a very strange experience full of muted dialogue and uncomfortable situations. Even the more outlandish moments seem real thanks to the actors. Thanks for the chance to see this as Gordon Willis undoubtedly intended. Amazing extras, too -- thanks to Talia Shire and Elizabeth Ashley for talking about this controversial film.

I did not like Windows. It was an intriguing concept, but it was made dull and slow-moving. There is some nice, dark photography by Gordon Willis, however he was the wrong director for this project. It was no wonder this barely lasted a week in the theaters.
