“Very solid jacket I just recently got an Alps blue one in size medium. I’m about 175 pounds 5 foot nine. Fits good perfectly including neck I noticed people of reviewers have complained about that the neck is too small, but it seems to be proportionate to me. This is my second transit jacket. My first one lasted four years and it’s still probably gonna go longer as a back up or dry weather only up. I had to patch it up because I fell off the bike. I would say this jacket is made pretty tough. I fell once or twice before and didn’t cause any rips when it was new; which surprised me. Unfortunately as the jacket has aged, I think the material has gotten thinner and softer which led to the failure of abrasion resistance. My only complaint is, it’s not as waterproof even after treating it with dwr. Which also is normal for this kinda of clothing. From my experience you can’t compare treating yourself with the factory. DWR. The taped seams are all intact still with no signs of failure. Original yellow one was purchased in 2021. Keep in mind own a daily bike commuter and use this daily in the rainy pacific north west. From September to May.”
“I purchased my 1st Transit Jacket over 6 years ago and while it is still going strong. Aside the few bumps and bruises it has suffered, thanks to my over the bar crashes, it still does the job of keeping me dry and warm.
However, the current sale price and bonus offer, on selected Shower’s Pass apparel items, including their Transit Jacket, motivated me to order 2 additional jackets, one black and one blue. The jacket is very well made, stands up incredibly well to aggressive riding and all Mother Nature can throw at it.
However, because it is NOT lined, in colder weather you must adopt smart layering advice to stay warm and comfortable.
I love the use of reflective tape on the jacket to increase its visibility at night.
Overall, it is a very well made product and I have no hesitation recommending it, especially at the current inventory clearance price!”
