“great jacket, lightest one I could find on the market, beautifully vented for a very hot and sweaty person like me, even if you are not a cyclist (which I am not).”
“Fits nice in the shoulders and the sleeves are long enough, but does not cover all the way to the waistline. I wish that shower pass would make a medium tall.”
“Great quality jacket came just in time to test out in a nasty rainfall. Extremely waterproof and warm enough when layered properly. Minor drawbacks include tight wrist and neck openings and odd pocket zip placement, you must really reach to get in but you get used to it over time. Pricey but worth it.”
“Have been using the Transit for a few years now, everyday winter riding just north of Toronto. I do a ton of riding, all outside, whether it's +30C or -30C and this jacket has been great for the winter months. The only issue I have is it seems after a year or 2, the end of the sleeves lose their water repellent capabilities, so for the rainy days, when you have to put your gloves inside the sleeves, eventually the water will penetrate the sleeve and get in the glove.
So, after a few years, I decided it was time to replace my current jacket and this one has served me so well, why not go with another Transit. I'm using a medium, which may fit like a large, but I can comfortably get multiple layers under it and a huge bonus is the long sleeves, with a larger than normal sleeve opening diameter.
So I ordered another medium on-line and to my huge disappointment, the Transit has undergone a bit of a design change. While the torso part of the jacket is still roomy, the length of the sleeves has been greatly reduced and the sleeve opening has also been reduced. It's like the sleeve length is for a size smaller and now if you have to get the sleeves over a glove, it will be a huge pain in the ass and what good is water proof glove if it's not inside the sleeve. Why make these changes? Does the designer even ride? If I go to a large, to get the increased sleeve length, then the torso part gets even bigger as well and I'm only '5"8, 142lbs. Because of this, I have to return this jacket a go with a competitor. There's an old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.”
“This men's Transit Jacket so far has exceeded all my expectations. I have gone on two Fat-Tire mountain bike rides in the snow and I love the fact that the jacket waterproof, but can breathe. The jacket isn't too heavy, the sizing is perfect and the 3M reflective used as accents around the entire jacket add an important safety element when riding at night, which I do quite often. The manufacturing quality is excellent! I LOVE the colour, taped seams and overall I am so impressed that you can rest assured that I will be ordering additional Mtb apparel from Showers Pass in the future. I certainly recommend this jacket and the Co.
Thanks, Showers Pass for making a product that offers great value for the $$ and exceeded my expectations!”
“Roomy fit ( men's M on a 5'-7" 145 frame).
Snug fitting collar and cuffs keep the wind and rain out, but help keep the sweat in. Chest vents could be longer and more oriented under the arm. Cuffs are a little to snug to allow any venting.
It's a comfortably-fitting jacket that keeps me dry and warm--if I don't work too hard.”
