“Most definitely a five star company and five star products! Over the years I have purchased socks, shoe covers, rain pants, beanies, hoods and jackets for bike touring and hiking. I love the quality and it has held up. The Customer service has been OUTSTANDING and they have always quickly and conveniently helped correct any fit issues I have had. Thanks Evan and the whole Shower Pass team!!!”
“Yes, these rain pants are expensive. Yes, they are awesome. There's nothing about them I don't like. I commute every day in Seattle. For years I got by with the basic rain pant that worked for 10 minutes before the sweat started to overtake the leakage. I like that I can just pull these on, and adjust the ankle straps the way I like them. There are two types of zippers: a fine-toothed fly zipper and the larger-toothed ankle zippers (YKK). The way they are sewn, reinforced, and covered makes moisture penetration almost impossible. The seat is a different fabric, tough and completely rain/road wetness-proof. And, the attention to detail in the knees is a huge difference-maker. I haven't seen any other commuters wearing these in the dark, so I can't comment on the reflective tape. I'm assuming it shows up in headlights. I've had them for just over a month, and worn them to work just about every day. No sweat, no leaks. If your pocketbook won't allow you to get these now, make sure you put them on any anticipated gift list you have in 2024!”
“These seem to work well in light rain and generally wet conditions. But they didn't keep my feet dry commuting in a heavier rain in the Pacific Northwest. The tops of my toes got wet (i.e., my gore tex rain pants were tightly cuffed and rain was not getting in through the tops of the covers around the ankles). Kind of disappointed since I just bought them this season. Also, the bottoms are tearing due to the pins on my pedals. Overall, a decent product, but could use a bit of improvement. Also, size up if you are wearing regular or moderately bulky shoes.”
“Was excited to try these out, but water leaked through on the first use in Seattle in a fairly typical amount of rain during a 30 minute ride. Usually have good experience with SP products, but would not buy these again.”
“They work great. But if you're like me and bike in regular sneakers size up. I wear 8.5 to 9 wide, and originally ordered a small based on the chart. Large is the proper size. Exchange process was easy and quick though.”
