“These are very soft and comfortable gloves which are surprisingly waterproof. Even though they do not have a shell, only a little water seems to get retained on the outside, so it does not get too squishy. For me, they are warm enough down to about 5 C (41 F).”
“Love these gloves. I use them while walking my dogs in the rain. So far waterproof AND I can take treats out of my treat pouch without taking them off. Took one star away because I have to take them off to use my cell phone. I wish they were touch sensitive. I will be ordering more Showers Pass gloves but in a darker color because these show the dirt more than I would like. But these are small quibbles. They are keeping my hands dry! And really that's the most important thing.”
“Purchased these gloves for biking in the rain and cold. Like how light they are for biking while keeping my hands warm and dry. The fit is good in the length, however I do find them somewhat on the wider side for a small hand even though I purchased a xs.”
“All year round bike commuter in Montreal for the last 7 years, have tried/used quite a few pair of gloves to deal with the different weather conditions, mid seasons being particularly tricky periods, without ever being really satisfied by any of the products I've used so far.
Been using those Shower Pass gloves for a few weeks only and did not get a very rainy day yet so i can't vouch for:
- how durable they will be
- how long they would keep my hands dry under heavy rain
.. but my current assessment is that:
1. without a doubt the best (quality & design) mid season gloves I've come across up until now.
2. amazing job at keeping hands dry under light/medium rain.
3. hitting the sweet spot for when doing "active cycling" while temperature is already down to 0¬∞C: under those conditions most of the mid season gloves I've used so far would leave my hands either "icy cold" or "sweaty hot". Shower Pass gloves are doing a *much* better job here, very very pleased by the awesome dry/warm hands feelings (thanks merino wool) when reaching destination after an active commute ride of ~30min.”
“I have a variety of gloves for a variety of conditions - we are a family that rides through all kinds of weather. But I seemed to be missing a glove that could shield my hands from rain in that kind of warm/kind of cold, but neither of each, time period that is early fall in Southern Ontario. This glove fits (pun intended) that need in so many ways. It doesn't overheat on those days where the temperature, or your effort levels, increases you body heat; and there is no chill that comes when wet hands meet wind. The silicone on the palms also helps with gripping drop bars, especially when the rain starts to come down harder. I have also found them useful and nimble when detaching our child trailer for daycare drop-offs. The only regret I have is that I didn't pick these up earlier! My wife is also getting a pair!”
