“I wasn't sure if it was going to be too big but I've filled this bag up with clothing, food and my laptop and it's very comfortable. Love the extra lighting!”
“Great waterproof bag!!
I bought one in august 2018, first time ShowerPass customer. I hoped I had made a good choice.
Over a year later, I can now say that I have.
I bike commute 365days/year, no matter the weather. I used and (a little bit) abused this bag.
It went through the rainy autumn and spring days, the cold -30 °C of a full Canadian winter.
After all this time, it is still as waterproof as the first day I received it. Solid construction, great capacity.
At some point I lost the sternum strap, which I really liked, but other than that this bag is still holding and keeping dry my stuff like a boss.
The zipper are impressively good.
The beacon lights are great when the it gets dark, a great extra for visibility.
My only con: the way the pockets are made make it hard to find stuff by rummaging when it's *really* full, (but that's my organizational problem I guess XD)
I now know that when (if ever) this bag dies on me, I will by the Transit one without hesitation.”
“I spend months searching for the perfect backpack and this is it. I'm totally smitten.
Pros.
- The perfect size. Somehow it always has room for *just one more thing* and it doesn't feel bulky when empty. It's the perfect size.
- Chest strap and hip strap both removable. The chest strap is the best chest strap I've ever seen. It has a clipping mechanism that locks it in place vertically, so the chest strap doesn't slide down when you walk.
- I've ridden my bike in pouring rain multiple times and the inside has stayed bone dry. This is very important when you're carrying around a three thousand dollar computer in your bag.
- comfortable to wear. It took maybe a day to break in, but after that I've never even really noticed it on my back (although sometimes the shoulder straps get their lengths mismatched and then I have to correct it but that's super easy to do even while wearing).
- this laptop case absolutely bangs holy cow it's so so good. The bottom of the laptop case is offset from the ground so the laptop doesn't smack on hard surfaces when you set the bag down. That's attention to detail.
Cons.
- It takes a little practice to zip and unzip the bag if the water bottle pockets are full. It'll never be super smooth to do this, but I'm quite used to it and it's not a huge hassle.
- The lights fall on the sides constantly fall out and into the bottoms of the water bottle pockets. On the subject of the lights, they aren't quite bright enough to be used as your only blinkers (at least in my opinion). When I'm riding, I want a neon sign on my back saying I AM A HUMAN PERSON DON'T HIT ME and these lights aren't quite sufficient for that.
- The front pocket isn't super useful.
Honestly the cons are so minor compared to the pros. This is as close to a perfect backpack as I've ever encountered. Well worth the price.”
“Great backpack, lots of room. This is my second waterproof backpack, the other one was by another company. This is a big rubber backpack, not very stylish.”
“I love this bag. It's really hard to find a waterproof bag that is not a roll-up top. This bag delivers. Considering the zippers are waterproof, they are still smooth. I had a slight issue with my order but the customer service on the matter was spot on. One criticism, I wish the laptop and tablet sleeves were flush to the bottom of the bag as anything in the main compartment tends to gets lost in the gap between the bottom of the sleeve and the bottom of the bag.”
“I live in the sub-Arctic and was a bit concerned that the bag might crack in the cold weather. Have used this bag at -30C and it didn't crack. Admittedly, this is a pretty niche concern. Still, very good quality bag.”
