So, I keep an electric tea kettle on my floor, and some instant soup, in case I don't feel like trudging up and down the stairs on a cold weekend morning. These are perfect for mixing the soup and boiling water, sealing the lid, and just waiting a few minutes. Also, I like to fill the mid-sized one with fruit juice and throw it in the freezer to have an ice snack on hot days.
