Hi Jon, We want to make sure that your lid is working properly. The push/pull tab should plug into the drinking spout. If you look into the spout when you do it, you can see it plug in. You can also see that sometimes if you don't push on it, only part of it plugs in properly. They are spill-resistant, there should be hardly any leaking besides a few drops if it's being squeezed or falls hard enough. Please email info@silipint.com if you have any further questions!
