“I came across silipints after watching a video on YouTube. I went to the website and after looking at all the choices I gave the blue a chance. The vessel came and has been used about 20 times in the first week! My son loves it as he feels like he can have an adult size beverage, but yet not worry about spilling or dropping the cup. I look forward to many more purchases in the future.”
“Bought a cup in a golf pro shop and I was hooked. Thrilled to find these on sale and I bought a ton of them to give away for office Christmas gifts, kept another for myself too! I haven't done hot liquids yet but I love using them with cold drinks.”
“I like drinking my lagers in a packed glass of ice (habit from Laos--try it sometime on a HOT day), and this glass keeps it supercold and doesn't sweat (much).”
“I really wanted to like this, but I just didn't. I got this thinking it would be multi-purpose for my travels, that I could use it as a water glass, get coffee in it, use it as a to-go container, etc. Those are all true, and it's very sturdy and easy to drink out of. My main problems with it, though, are:
1. The smell stays! If you order coffee, your cup will forever smell like coffee. It may be my imagination, but I even thought my water tasted like coffee. Maybe the smell will come out if you use the dishwasher, but when you're on the go, you very rarely have access to a dishwasher.
2. It's pretty bulky and heavy. I imagined silicone would be lightweight, but it's not that much lighter than a tumbler. And the footprint is bigger.
3. It's not double-walled. I mean, I knew that when I purchased it, but considering how thick the walls are, I could get a metal container that is this same size and it would be double-walled.
Overall, I'm disappointed. It seems too gimmicky for me. For a kid's cup, I think they make sense (and the lids work really well!) since you don't want your kids to spill or break a glass. But as an adult, I think I will just stick with a metal tumbler.”
