“Very nice heavy brass casting although it is in 2 pieces. Fixes to wooden rail by means of plastic "bungs" with a central hole for screwing to the end of the rail. This is where the kit is let down. There are no instructions for how to fix and in particular, how to find the centre of the rail to drill a pilot hole. Therefore it is difficult to get the bung central so that the casting when pushed over the bung is central. It is crying out for a simple plastic jig to do this job. If it is not central it hits the eye straight away. Using a simple round bar centre finder does not produce a result because the wood tens to not be perfectly round. For the price of this kit I expected much more.”
