“Im not really one for giving reviews but thought I needed to share this as this is not a cheap product . So initially I had to make a choice as for 3.50m I had the option to purchase the handrail as a one piece or 2 separate lengths with a joiner attachment in the middle. Basis I think I'm a pretty competent DIYer and the fact it was 50£ cheaper and aesthetically would look good with matching fittings I went for the second option. This was a big mistake. I would like to stress that the quality of the fittings and wood was good and would have given at least 4 stars . However when the products arrived the joiner was missing so I had to wait another week to do the job I had planned for. Also no instructions (not a disaster) no raw plugs (had to go out and buy some) and the most important thing no guide holes pre drilled into the centre of the rails. For the end caps its not really that much of an issue but if the joiner is 1mm out the handrail (as mine did ) annoyingly the rail doesn't look straight . I also had the issue of the 2 pieces of oak were slightly different shade obviously from separate batch ( surely this cant be too hard to process ) so I'm having to try and match them with different coats of wax/varnish. All in all quality is fine but everything else all a bit slapdash . If you can get 1 piece pay the extra !!”
