“The metal mute is very attractive as well as functional. It is quite heavy and is presented in polished silver. Unlike the images of the item however the mute spans the breadth of the bridge as opposed to just the D and G strings.
I have quite a thick bridge due to reshaping - this has meant the mute sits about 3mm in from the edge. I was concerned this would negatively impact the muting ability however even with such a shallow bite, the sound suppression is surprisingly good, effectively turn the sound level to a cello whisper whilst maintaining the clarity of the note. I am beyond pleased! Would definitely recommend.”
