“I had been looking to change the G & C strings on my Ian Clarke cello for a while and Simply for Strings suggested that I try the new Larsen Magnacore. Initially the sound was a bit raw and bold but within a week of very little playing it had settled in to produce a clear, direct sound full of resonance. They took less time to settle in than previous strings and the strings have continued to maintain their quality now for many months of heavy playing and extreme weather conditions. The string feels smooth under the fingers and the quality of the tone is maintained all the way along the string. Its ability to execute a piano/pianissimo clearly and immediately is remarkable. I would definitely recommend them over Spiracore Tungsten and Eva Pirazzi.”
