Becoming a widow can often take its toll on the importance of self-care. After avoiding exercise for years, I decided that my stiff muscles and tired mind needed some attention. I ordered the Gentle Yoga program and treated myself to a lovely mat to make my new daily routine special. I am so happy that I did! The instruction is first-rate, Cat is a patient and thoughtful guide. I feel happier, stronger, more refreshed, and energized after my morning practice. I love this program because it has provided the encouragement and inspiration that I needed to begin loving and taking care of myself again.

When I first received my Gentle Yoga dvd set, I was a bit frustrated because I received 2 copies of the 2nd dvd - and did not receive the 1st. Fortunately, we're provided with on-line access as well, but that meant going on line, logging in...and though I thought I would get to it, I didn't right away. Then I took a fall this past winter, (hastily putting on my boots on a slippery floor), and smashed a rib when I fell against the corner of a sturdy chair that didn't budge. No yoga for me for a few months, and my body and spirit have missed it much! I was anxious to begin some gentle yoga again now that I am healed, but when I tried a few days ago, my usual routine left me very sore. Then I remembered the Gentle Yoga series, and finally worked with the intro and first lesson this morning. What a wonderful surprise! I've taken several yoga classes over the past 40 years, and have collected many yoga books and a couple of other dvds. Cat is an excellent instructor, and her personality, style, and approach to yoga really connected with me. As I followed along (which was comfortable and easy for me to do), I felt every stretch energize and waken my winter-weary body. I'm energized, my mind is open and alert, and I'm ready to head out to our big organic garden after doing the morning feeding round with donkeys, pony and chickens. Life is not only good - it just got better. I'm extremely grateful for the classes, and look forward to the next one tomorrow morning! Thank you!!

I am 80 years old and the yoga class I attempted at our local park was too strenuous. My blood pressure went up and I had to take a nap after class. Your program is perfect. Being able to work at my own pace and at any time of day I desire. Thanks.

I really like these videos. Just the right amount of time. Even though we might be over 60 we still have lots going on. I like that she explains everything and I also like her giving you everyday tips and stretches to do without the video as well. I always feel so much better after doing these. There are also enough different sections that you do not get bored. Lots of yoga videos are the same thing over and over. They can be long and some are difficult for a 60+ year old. I rarely ever leave a review but felt this was well worth letting everyone know about. Worth every penny!

Joan Thomson 10:40 AM (23 hours ago) to Sixty Hi Margaret, this is my story. For 18 months I had a shoulder injury. I had a frozen shoulder and a tear at my rotator cuff which needed to be repaired. My frozen shoulder took 10 months to thaw, then I had my surgery. This resulted in another frozen shoulder. I had previously been doing yoga at my local class for nearly 2 years and my goal was to get back to yoga, however I was scared that I might further injure myself. Physiotherapy was helpful but sometime was very painful. I was looking for a nice easy yoga class to give me confidence when I came across Sixty and Me. I am 64yrs young and thought this could be helpful. After 2 weeks of the video I felt that this was for me. I am now back at my yoga class and combine it with the video. The movement in my shoulder has dramatically changed, I can now fully extend my arm over my head and stretch it about 80 per cent out to the side. My doctor is very pleased with the results. What I love about yoga is you only do what is comfortable with your body and after a few times you will find that you can do more. Thanks for taking the time to contact me. I have enjoyed this Gentle Yoga series and plan on ordering the flow series. I have done yoga over several years with an outstanding yoga instructor and this series and instructor remind me of her, but goes at a slower pace which is whatI need now since I have osteoarthritis. I highly recommend these videos.
