“The pod definitely helped our little one sleep while traveling. We liked how the pod had vents and spaces to put our monitor to keep a watch on her through the night. The fan was a great bonus. The product does a good job - especially if your little one prefers to sleep in their own, dark space. However, we have only used it once during this trip and one of the ends where the rods connect is already cracking. That’s super disappointing because once one segment breaks - the whole tent is unusable. Overall, the product seems good but really disappointed that there is damage after one use and the $200 cost. The rods seem too flimsy for the tension and and heaviness of the fabric.”

“I like the concept for traveling, but my 14-month-old immediately started crying and threw up within 30 seconds of placing her in it. She refused to go back in it, or her pack-and-play without it for the rest of the trip. Possibly my fault for not training her to use it at home first, but saving the product for my friends to try hoping they have more success than I did.”

“Took this on vacation for my 5 month old. She hated being inside it and I believe it was due to how hot it got. My camera read a temperature of 78 degrees when the room itself was around 70 degrees. This was with all the “vents” opened. She cried every minute in there and ultimately did not use it. Won’t be using it again. Waste of money.”

Typically, when SlumberPod is set up in a climate-controlled space, the temperature inside the SlumberPod should be about the same as the room, with a slight increase of 1-2 degrees Fahrenheit at most. However, please be aware that when the monitor is inside the SlumberPod monitor pouch, the reading can be affected by the clear vinyl of the pouch, causing it to read as much as 10 degrees warmer than the actual room temperature. To get an accurate reading inside, we recommend placing the monitor on the floor under the playard for a few minutes before returning it to the monitor pouch.
Some customers use the fan if their child tends to get warm during sleep or when they are in a warmer and/or more humid environment. We want to kindly remind everyone that SlumberPod is approved for indoor use only in climate-controlled environments. Additionally, the fan has three speeds, and the highest speed is quite powerful, providing effective cooling when needed.

“Bought to use with pack and play on several trips this summer. My 1 year old loves how quiet and dark it gets in any room to replicate her home sleeping environment! It’s impossible to use video monitor with it (we have Nanit), but the sound works just as well and we reversed the Nanit so she has the night light in there. Very breathable - recommend the fan to keep air moving!”
