The Soundbrenner is actually really cool! I have to say I really like it. It’s perfect for someone looking fo a smart watch that doesn’t overwhelm you with information and notifications. On the musical side it’s really cool as well! As a drummer I have to say I would like the vibration to be a bit more pronounced, but it’s very helpful for, specially when practicing!

This is a really great product! I feel like there is definitely some room for improvement, but I firmly believe the team behind is listening to the community and actively continuing development! Pros: Stylish looking, even with basic band Syncs flawlessly with phone via bluetooth Metronome app is excellent Timer and alarm apps are solid DB meter app is a nice addition Instrument mounts are a brilliant idea Lightweight and unobtrusive Cons: The tuner leaves something to be desired No lap feature on the stop watch No heartbeat sensor or step tracker Somewhat limited in customization and functionality I really want to give this product 5 stars, cause of how ingenious and useful it is, but the tuner app needs some minor, yet significant improvements before I can do that. That's really the only thing holding it back. The other cons I mentioned, even combined with each other, are not enough to knock off a star on their own, because the foundation of this product is so innovative and strong. I've never really used metronomes before, because usually they distract me too much. I was that kid in band that actually lost the beat when the teacher made me tap my foot to it. For me it's always been more about feeling the rhythm, and I was able to keep right on time just by watching the conductor, and playing the notes when they "felt" right. This vibrate function is the first time a metronome hasn't felt obtrusive, and I've been learning to play in time with it by practicing my guitar scales with it on, and can even tolerate the traditional sound metronome from the app now to some extent. This watch is beautiful. I low how it's much more lowkey than most smartwatches, and is incredibly light and pretty thin. I don't need a mini PC on my arm when I have one in my pocket, and this is more like a remote interface. The basic band in it is made from quality materials, and comfortable to wear all day long, though I'm going to replace it with the black and red nylon band, cause that's my vibe. I have an aluminum case on my phone and sometimes have trouble connecting to devices via bluetooth, but have not experienced any connection issues with this device. The tuner app is a nice feature, but could really use some work. I will start by saying the magnetic connectors function well, and I intend to get two packs to put on all my instruments. However the software itself could use some work. I think the number one improvement would be the ability to select a target pitch using the wheel. This would not only make alternate tunings somewhat easier to use, but I also feel should mitigate the other issues with the app. The app, or maybe, the device itself seems to lack sensitivity. I feel I often have to strike my stings VERY hard for the tuner to pick up the sound. Also, there are times where it appears to be picking up overtones and undertones, and wont stabilize on a pitch I am trying to tune to. If these issues are fixed, I would definitely be able to give it five stars. While I'd love to see the other features I mentioned, I understand they might require additional hardware, and in that case would like to see a Soundbrenner Sport, for people like myself, who are both musicians and athletes.

I have been very impressed with the Soundbrenner Core. It does everything I would like and what Soundbrenner said it would do. I use it all day every day. As a professional drum teacher and drummer, it is fabulous. On their website, it mentions how I could create setlists and Bluetooth these lists from my phone to my watch. This was part of my decision to purchase the watch. Under the 'all your songs organized - set list library' feature of their website, there is no mention that this feature is a subscription service that costs an absurd amount of money per month for this very simple feature. This feature's price is also blended with video tuition under the 'learn' button of their metronome app showing Soundbrenner's misleading advertising and probable justification for the high monthly price point for setlist integration to the watch. When I show my friends the watch with its impressive features I feel I have to mention the price point of setlist integration so they don't get caught out. The watch itself and its Bluetooth integration to the metronome app are fantastic. Glad I got one.

I bought the Core Steel and it's been very useful for my practice. I used to hate rhythm practice, but with the Core Steel, rhythm practice became fun. I highly recommend this product to all musicians. The design is cool so I wear them every day.

My brand new Core is awesome both in useability and design. BUT the Tuner section is not working/responding in any way. I happen to be pulse user since minimum 3 years now. And the add on features are killer. They would be even better if they ALL would work...

The core is an awesome concept for a smartwatch, and it looks sleek and stylish too.

I went ahead and bought the Core because I wanted something completely independent from my phone. I absolutely love all of the metronome and db functions, but my watch is already lagging behind in time. Is there a way to manually set the time? Or do I have to re-sync with my phone?
