“The Soundbrenner Pulse is a great tool when paired with the app. Not so much if you would like to use it stand-alone. You need a way to determine your exact meter without having to look at an app, or you are limited to bluetooth range from your iPad or phone. Other than that one drawback, it is a great product. As you become accustomed to feeling the beat, it seems to enhance your internal clock. Great product overall. I recommend to it highly to other musicians that are also rhythmically challenged.”

“Nice idea, it doesn't work consistently, and it is very hard to feel the vibrations, but that would become easier with more use. Connection with the app almost always causes either the app or the wearable to fail to function, usually requires a restart of both. Wish there was a way to connect it to my DAW without latency issues and the strange wavering in tempo I've experienced.”

Thanks for the feedback on the Pulse! Just to let you know, we've received this feedback when first launching the Pulse, and took this into consideration when creating the Core.
“Let me say I love the Soundbrenner Pulse and use it for rehearsals, private practice and live work.
I play in a covers band mainly in pubs and the Soundbrenner Pulse is a simple and effective set up for these situations.
I believe both my feel and time keeping have improved as a result of playing with a Soundbrenner Pulse and so I recommend them for drummers.
Downsides? I have the Pulse freeze on me and become unresponsive. It needed a hard reset which is not convenient.
I have also had to return a device as the inner motor(?) broke. I have 2 Pulses and am concerned the first one is following this path. They do not have a hard life (beyond being on a drummer's arm!) so I am hoping this is a nearly generation problem.
I will continue to use a Soundbrenner Pulse as the advantages easily outweigh the disadvantages - oh and the Customer Care has been consistently excellent.

Regarding some of your issues, we have a low defective rate and so your second Pulse shouldn't have any issues whatsoever. The freezing up issue we've fixed via firmware updates so please ensure that your Pulse is on the latest firmware!
