“Excellent delay pedal with unequalled audio quality, unparalleled in-depth editing capabilities & the ability to be hooked up in whatever-which-way you could ever possibly imagine. The other pedal that is always mentioned in the same breath as the DD500 is the Strymon Timeline; however, I've never been a fan of Strymon products as they add this high-end sheen to everything (which is why their fans think that the Strymon sounds better & that the Boss sounds Sterile). Put simply though, the DD500 is FAR more transparent & faithful to your core tone than the Timeline is &; personally, the last thing I want from a delay pedal is for it to be altering my EQ when engaged. I also think this whole "jumping on the Strymon bandwagon" thing is laughable, boss invented the digital delay so surely EVERYONE is jumping on their bandwagon right!? This is the last word in delay pedals as far as I'm concerned, it's a do it all delay that's faithful to the sound you put into it, highly recommended!”
