For me it was a choice between the Boss DD-20 or Line 6 DL4 for a delay pedal. After purchasing the Giga Delay I can certainly recommend this as a great investment for any pedalboard. This pedal is quite expensive and a lot more money is needed for this than a simpler model, but i'd argue that it's better to INVEST in good quality equipment rather than buying an inferior product for a cheaper sum. Features on the pedal are great with a cool 'twist' setting that behaves much like a pitch shifter with a self oscillating delay. Tap Tempo is accurate and whilst looping may be limited this pedal is for delays primarily so I don't see it as a weakness. If you're thinking of buying this pedal but put off by the price i'd advise you to wait and save, you will not need another delay or need to replace it. 6 AA Batteries are included but I use a Voodoo Lab ISO 5 to power this pedal on a high output 9v connection. The pedal is sturdy, resilient and well built, easily able to stand up to gigging. Many bands use this pedal both live and in the studio and is used by artists such as Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai, Taylor York of Paramore, Rory Friers of And So I Watch You From Afar, Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse and The Edge of U2. Endorsement at that level of playing will reassure anyone I would imagine of its credentials.
