“For the price you cannot go wrong with these skates really. We have bought two pairs for our daughters who are 6 and 8. We got them to wear them round the house for a few days first so that they could get used to 'gliding' rather than stepping, and that they had some soft carpet to fall on rather than pavement. The skates are easy enough to adjust once you have the knack, but you have to press the little catch in just right to get it all going. The system for tightening the straps is too much for little ones to be able to do by themselves and so I knock off one star for that. You really need the strength of an adult to click the clips and press in the sliding tighteners. We are pleased that these kind of quad skates are coming back into vogue as our girls are just not steady enough yet for inline skates. All in all a very decent set of skates, that should easily last a year or so for a bargain price.”
