“I ordered 5 new solenoids for an old Richdel system, replacing 2 that were defective. The shipping charge was a little steep, but overall this was a much better choice than being overcharged by a repairman. Replacing the solenoids was so easy! You just disconnect the wires, unscrew the old solenoid, screw in the new one, and reconnect the wires. Thanks to youtube for giving me the courage to try this on my own, and thanks to Sprinkler Supply for keeping me posted on shipping delay due to Covid-19. The worst part of this experience was having to dig out the mud from the valve box that had built up over the years.”

“This turned out to be the perfect replacement solenoid for the very old but very reliable Richdel R-204 valve. You have to prey of the white retaining ring at the base of the new solenoid and once it's off you can screw it on to the R-204 valve and connect the wires. I am ordering 5 more to complete the update of my system. And the shipping was fast.”
