“We had a wonderful stay at Villa Sea Dream. Regardless of the comments below, the Villa is an amazing place with a view that is unparalleled and we will not forget it. The villa had significant maintenance issues which we thought you should know about. We have let the property manager on island know all this information as well. Several areas in the house were either needing repairs or updating/renovating:
One of the glass panels on the balcony had slipped down to the bottom (initially suspended) and later noticed another panel on the other side had begun the same process. One of the downstairs bedrooms had standing water below the bed by the wall which appeared to trickle down from the wall. It looks like there is significant water damage to the wall with attempted repair previously. In the bathroom for that same bedroom, the sink on the right leaks onto the wooden shelf below. The bottom of the gazebo on the pool deck is basically rotted. The sink faucet in the upstairs bedroom on the right leaks every time it is opened, and it is very hard to operate. The sink faucet in the kitchen leaks at the spout whenever it is turned on. The caulking along the kitchen counter has pulled off and has mildew, and it is letting ants in. The air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom smells very musty when it is turned on and probably needs to be serviced or cleaned. The bottom of the door to the upstairs bathroom is starting to rot too.
This seems like a lot, and although it did not bother us very much since we are pretty low maintenance people and were just happy to be there, I know that other people may not think quite the same. So we just wanted to make sure you knew about it. Please be assured that we had an amazing time and will use St Martin Blue in the future but would likely not choose to stay at this villa for the price/night.”
